Backstroke swimmer who submerges prior to a turn

The inspector of turns is not required to notify the referee as the swimmer cannot be submerged at the “finish” of the race only. Is this correct?

Hi Matt,

Thanks for your question. Hopefully I have understood it correctly;

All observed infractions that occur within the jurisdiction of the IOT must be reported to the referee for determination.

Note SW2.7.1 and SW 2.6.2

If this isn’t what you meant, please let me know.
